The29 Spectral has an updated frame while the Spectral 27.5 has been around for a few years and a bit more traditional trail geometry. Ripmo af looks like a great BC bike, I see a handful locally. Beforei rode a 27.5 i wanted one really bad and wanted to do away with my 29er literally everything I read about 27.5 made it sound great for me. I demoed 5 27.5 bikes I felt like a hamster spinning they were slow and horrible at climbing. A27.5er will be way more agile than a 29er. I have both and I take the 27.5er way more often to trails than my 29er. For long straight rail trips a 29er is better but that's pretty rare. I would choose a 27.5er in the city as well for a commuter and on the trail as well.
